Both Xia and chief executive Keith Wyness took to social media yesterday to allay any fears among supporters after a barren spell in terms of signings since the transfer window opened. Villa have been heavily linked with several players but have yet to complete a deal.The most advanced is for Nottingham Forest’s Henri Lansbury, with a £3million bid last night reportedly accepted.The midfielder must undergo a medical before he can join Villa on a reported £40,000-a-week deal.
