Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says union officials who break the law should face the full legal consequences, but has refused to cut ties with the CFMEU over alleged thuggish behaviour captured on video.A video released by News Corp this week showed a CFMEU official swearing repeatedly and threatening to shut down the Parklands Commonwealth Games Village Project on the Gold Coast. Photo: Tertius Pickard Ms Palaszczuk was questioned about Labor’s heavy union affiliation with respect to the video on Wednesday and said everyone had a duty to act respectfully.”No one accepts bad behaviour, whether that is white collar, blue collar – no one accepts bad behaviour,” Ms Palaszczuk said.”If people are not obeying the law, I don’t care if that’s in the business community or the union movement, they will face the full consequences of the law,” she said.Asked whether Labor should cut ties with the CFMEU over the video, the premier sought to highlight the union’s positive work.
