Phil Collins FINALLY speaks out on Genesis reunion and it's great news

GETTYPhi Collins is interested in another Genesis reunionThe 65-year-old musician announced he was coming out of retirement for a string of solo concerts next year, at a press conference held in London yesterday.Fans have remained hopeful the former lead singer of Genesis would be up for bringing his old band back together.When asked about the possible reunion, the singer revealed the 2007 Genesis tour was supposed to be a big goodbye.However he added: “I wouldn’t want to do anything that lasted six months or a long time. But I wouldn’t rule out doing something.”GETTYCollins joined Genesis as drummer in 1970Collins said writing his autobiography, Not Dead Yet, brought up memories of the great friendships made in the band.Genesis formed in 1967 with Collins added as drummer in 1970 and eventually lead singer, taking over from Peter Gabriel.The singer has been unwell of late, having suffered from nerve damage in his hands that left him unable to play the drums. He admitted at the press conference he’ll only be on vocals for the 2017 UK tour, with his 15-year-old son Nicholas playing the drums in his stead.Collins said: “I think I’ll be just singing.
