China PR World Cup-winning manager Marcelo Lippi is in talks with the Chinese FA to become the national team’s new manager. The 68-year-old has experience in China, having managed Guangzhou Evergrande from 2012 to 2014. During his time as the Evergrande manager, Lippi won the Chinese Super League 3 times, the Chinese FA Cup and the AFC Champions League. China are currently ranked 78th in the world, although this is a vast improvement on their March 2013 ranking of 109th.
