Guardiola reveals Man City targeted Barcelona star in the summer window

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed that Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen was a target for his side during the summer transfer window. Manchester Evening News report that the City boss was interested in the German international before signing his team-mate Claudio Bravo: “We needed a keeper like Claudio or Ter Stegen, we got Claudio and Ter Stegen stayed”. Guardiola was evidently not content with going into the Premier League season with Joe Hart starting in goal.
