Daniel Sturridge Doesn’t Look Part of Liverpool Team – Ray Wilkins

Sturridge was brought off in the second half, being replaced by Adam Lallana, and Liverpool instantly appeared more lively. Wilkins feels if Lallana had been fit enough to start the game then Sturridge would have been on the bench, while he also explained his view that Klopp's style of football does not suit the striker at present.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Tuesday, Wilkins said: Daniel didn't really get in the game. We saw some of his hold up play looked pretty average. The one thing about Daniel is he has devastating pace as well, but you don't see him running beyond people anymore. He just looks a little bit off the pace. I think it's [Klopp’s style] has been a transformation which really hasn't suited Daniel that well and he doesn't seem a part of the team at the moment.
