Cyprus 2017: rumour mill continues after Hovig’s weird post!

CYPRUS – No one really knows who’s the Cypriot representative for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest most of us estimating Loukas Yiorkas or at least X-Factor 2016 winner Andreas Leontas since the CyBC refers to a male representative. Yesterday a weird Facebook post uploaded online by Hovig, though: Hovig is not unknown to the Eurovision world and the Eurofans. Been of an Armenian descent, the young artist participated in the Cypriot national final in 2010 and in 2015 achieving a 4th place. Could Hovig be the man depicted in the pictogram-a-like photo? We still make post estimations upon information and not official confirmations so read in caution! ABOUT HOVIG Hovig’s characteristic voice, with an undertone of a youthful huskiness, makes him stand out from the rest of the mainstream Greek singers today. Like a good wine, he is maturing well and the future is looking bright for this guy. Unlike most singers in Greece and Cyprus today, Hovig has mastered the English world’s music as well, taking on light rock and classic hits, including blues, like a duck to water. His charm offensive is genuine, sometimes cheeky, with a level of warmth known so well in the Mediterranean where he grew up. Make no mistake, this guy is already looking over the horizon, but without all the arrogance of the ‘stars’ of today
